Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is there parking on site?

Yes — free parking is included with every visit. Coach parking and accessible bays are right next to the entrance, with overflow fields opened on peak days.

  • Can we bring our own food and drink?

Absolutely. Picnic benches are dotted across the park and there are sheltered indoor areas for rainy-day lunches. On-site cafés serve hot meals, snacks and drinks if you'd rather travel light.

  • Are dogs allowed in the park?

Well-behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome across the outdoor trails and play areas. Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere, including indoor attractions.

  • Is the park pushchair and wheelchair friendly?

Most of the park is on level paths suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. A few woodland sections have gentle slopes — full accessibility details and a route map are on the Accessibility page.

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

Plenty to do indoors come rain or shine — indoor play, the Theatre and Secret Animal Garden all stay open. We'd recommend wellies and waterproofs for the outdoor trails.

  • Can we leave the park and come back later?

Yes — just get your hand stamped on your way out at Guest Services and you can re-enter the same day.

  • Do we need to book tickets in advance?

Booking online is the cheapest way and guarantees entry on busy days. Walk-ups are welcome when capacity allows, but weekends and school holidays sell out — book ahead to save.
